Global Day of Action: Thousands Protest in New York City Against Ongoing Genocide

On Monday, December 18, 2023, protesters across New York City united for a Global Day of Action, demanding an immediate ceasefire and an end to the ongoing genocide.

The day began with demonstrations in Queens and the Bronx, where people from diverse backgrounds gathered in solidarity against Israel’s actions. Protesters later traveled to Manhattan to join a mass rally, which saw thousands marching through the city.

Organized by the pro-Palestine group Within Our Lifetime, along with affiliated organizations, the march spanned several iconic locations, including Grand Central Terminal, the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and Penn Station.

Anti-Zionist Jews participated actively throughout the day, with spokespersons addressing the dire humanitarian crisis in southern Gaza and the Jewish opposition to Zionism. The rally underscored global unity and the urgent need for justice and peace in the region.
