Iran’s President Meets Anti-Zionist Rabbis in NY

On the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian held a meeting with rabbis from the anti-Zionist Jewish group Neturei Karta in New York on September 24. During the gathering, Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss presented the president with a book titled Traditional Torah Opposition to Zionism . He expressed gratitude to Iran for its clear distinction between Judaism as a divine religion and Zionism, which is a criminal entity.

Rabbi Weiss condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza and Lebanon, stating, “Israel is misusing the Jewish religion to commit crimes.” He emphasized that “the Torah forbids killing and stealing,” underscoring the moral contradiction between genuine Jewish teachings and the violent policies carried out by the Israeli state.

President Pezeshkian responded by affirming Iran’s commitment to peace and justice on the global stage. “We have conveyed the message of peace and justice at the United Nations,” he said. “Women and children are being bombarded in Gaza and Lebanon, and this is truly shameful.”

The rabbis expressed their appreciation for the Iranian president’s efforts in supporting the oppressed people of Palestine. Following the meeting, the delegation presented President Pezeshkian with a gift as a symbol of solidarity with Iran and Palestine in their shared struggle against Zionism.
