Anti-Zionist Jews Protest Israel in Jerusalem on Nakba 76

On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, anti-Zionist Jews in Jerusalem protested against the Israeli state. Following a commemoration ceremony marking the 76th anniversary of the Nakba (the Palestinian catastrophe in 1948), they marched through the streets of Jerusalem with banners condemning the state of Israel and its actions.

One banner read, “Jews condemning the state of Israel,” while another proclaimed, “Jews are not Zionists.”

After marching in Jerusalem, the Israeli police, referred to by the protesters as the “so-called ‘only democratic state in the Middle East’,” arrived and forcefully dispersed the protesters, arresting some of them.

The protest reconvened later, during which Zionist flags were burned in defiance. During the protest, a child was reportedly tortured and arrested by the Israeli police, along with several peaceful anti-Zionist protesters.
