Every Sunday, a number of people gather in Toronto for a peaceful counter-protest opposing a recurring Zionist demonstration. These weekly actions take place amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis and genocide in Gaza, where thousands of Palestinian civilians—many of them children—have lost their lives. While Zionist groups continue their gatherings in the city, promoting narratives that aligned with the Zionist violence and occupation, Anti Zionist Jews are participating weekly at this protest
One such protest took place on Sunday, August 3rd, where Rabbi Dovid Feldman delivered a powerful address to the crowd.
Rabbi Feldman condemned Zionism, the occupation and genocide in Gaza, asserting that real Judaism calls for solidarity with the oppressed—not complicity in violence.
At the protest, young Jewish children chanted: ‘Judaism Yes , Zionism no’. This slogan is often used to differentiate between Judaism and Zionism.
