On August 29, 2024, a delegation from Neturei Karta in occupied Jerusalem visited the home of Sheikh Mohammad Awda Al-Saidi in the village of Al-Za’ayyem, located east of Jerusalem, after his house had been demolished by Israeli occupation forces eight times. The delegation showed solidarity with him and learned about his situation.
Sheikh Al-Saidi and the villagers warmly welcomed the anti-Zionist Jewish delegation with great enthusiasm.
One of the locals explained to the residents in Arabic the difference between Jews and Zionists. He clarified that Neturei Karta in Palestine, the United States, and around the world are publicly opposed to Zionism.
The residents of Al-Za’ayyem village suffer from oppression due to the racist practices of the Zionist regime, which has separated the village from Jerusalem with the apartheid separation wall. The regime has also placed an iron gate at the entrance to the village, which is open only during specific hours.
