On Saturday, May 10, 2025, a powerful protest titled “We Will Not Forget – Nakba 77” was held in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY. Protesters gathered to remind the world that 77 years of the Nakba—the catastrophic dispossession and displacement of the Palestinian people—must come to an end. They emphasized that it is time for the world to take action to address this ongoing injustice. This demonstration took place while the population of Gaza continues to endure an ongoing genocide carried out by Israel for the past 19 months.
The protest, which took place on Saturday, was attended by a delegation of anti-Zionist Jews. Due to the observance of Shabbat, when they cannot travel by car, they walked from nearby neighborhoods to join the demonstration. Rabbi Dovid Feldman, a spokesman for Neturei Karta, spoke at the protest. His remarks highlighted the moral imperative to stand against injustice and support the rights of the Palestinian people.
The event served as a reminder of the enduring struggle faced by Palestinians since the Nakba began in 1948. Protesters called for global solidarity and urgent measures to bring an end to the suffering in Gaza and beyond.
