Counter-Protesting Pro-Israel Rally at the United Nations

On Sunday, October 9, 2023, pro-Zionists gathered in front of the United Nations in New York City in support of a war on Gaza and called for an escalation in the cycle of bloodshed. In response, anti-Zionist Jews assembled to counter-protest this pro-Israel agenda, calling for a peaceful end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine that began in 1948 and has since caused suffering and bloodshed for both Arabs and Jews. They held signs that read, “Israel is responsible for 75 years of tragic bloodshed of Arabs and Jews.”

Rabbi Dovid Feldman, a spokesperson for Neturei Karta, explained to the press that the events of October 7 did not occur in isolation. He emphasized that until we examine the root causes of the ongoing bloodshed, which has persisted for over 75 years, we will continue to witness tragic events that no one wants to see. “Jews lived in peace in Palestine prior to the invention of Zionism. The Zionist occupation of Palestine has caused a century of bloodshed for both Arabs and Jews,” said Rabbi Feldman. Another sign read, “End occupation to end the bloodshed of Arabs and Jews.”
