As students returned for the new academic year, the students of FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) held a rally on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the “Back to School Rally” to demand divestment from the apartheid state of Israel. The rally was joined by a delegation of anti-Zionist Jews standing in solidarity with Palestine.
Rabbi Dovid Feldman addressed the crowd, commending the bravery of the students for standing up against the occupation and genocide. He also addressed the false accusations of antisemitism directed at the students, explaining that Zionism is in no way connected to Judaism.
