Global Strike for Gaza: Protesters Rally in NYC, March from UN Headquarters to Grand Central

The Global Strike for Gaza was called by people of conscience around the globe to stand in solidarity and show sympathy with the suffering of the people in Gaza, who have already endured over 18 months of relentless bombing and genocide. On April 7, 2025, at 4 PM, a protest was organized in front of the United Nations Headquarters in NYC by several organizations, led by Within Our Lifetime . At that time, anti-Zionist Jews, and students from across the city, and people from all different backgrounds gathered to join the protest and strike for Gaza.

After a while of chanting, the crowd marched on several blocks and stopped at Grand Central Plaza , where they called on people to join the fight for justice for Gaza and Palestine. During the protest and march, pro-Palestinian protesters were intimidated by Zionist agitators. Objects were thrown at them from high-rise apartments, with some holding up the Israeli flag.

Rabbi Yitzchok Deutsch addressed the press and issued a wake-up call to world leaders, urging them to do whatever they can to stop the genocide of the inhabitants of Palestine. He reminded them not to conflate Judaism and Zionism, emphasizing that they are not the same.
