As The International Court of Justice (ICJ) held public hearings on South Africa’s request in the case on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in the Gaza Strip on January 11 and 12, 2024, demonstrators gathered outside the Peace Palace in The Hague to support the case.
A delegation of Jewish rabbis arrived on Thursday, January 11, and gave various interviews to the media.
A Jewish rabbi stated, “We are witnessing months of genocide, mass murder of masses of innocent men, women, and children. This is unacceptable for the world,” during an interview.
While the world is taking action against the genocide in Gaza, the call for justice and a free Palestine continues to resonate globally. On the second day, Friday, a Jewish delegation from London arrived and continued to publicize their support for South Africa, urging them not to be intimidated by Zionist false propaganda linking this issue with anti-Semitism. On the contrary, the rabbis explained that because they are Jews, they feel an obligation to stand up against these crimes, especially when they are committed supposedly in the name of the Jewish religion.
