On November 9, 2015, President Barack Obama hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House to discuss increased financial and military support from the U.S. government to Israel. However,

The visit sparked significant opposition, as hundreds of activists, including anti-Zionist Jews, gathered outside the White House to protest. Anti-Zionist Jews attended the protests to express Jewish opposition to Zionism and its leaders, asserting that Netanyahu does not speak on behalf of all Jewish people. Protesters held signs calling for an immediate cut to U.S. financial assistance to Israel and demanding an end to the Israeli regime’s violence against Palestinians. Later that evening, at 5:00 PM, during an event at the National Building Museum located at 401 F St. N.W., hosted by the American Enterprise Institute, Netanyahu was presented with an award.
