On Saturday, August 10, 2024, thousands of people from all across Canada gathered at Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Canada, for the Ottawa National March, to protest against Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza,
Among the speakers was Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss who addressed the event, clarifying that there are Jewish communities around the world who stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Palestine and protest the crimes committed by Israel. He emphasized that a Jewish state in any form is forbidden according to Jewish belief.
At the protest a group of anti-Zionist Jews stepped on an Israeli flag to express their rejection of Zionism.
Following the speeches, the masses marched around Parliament Hill to show solidarity with Palestine.
