Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, in an exclusive interview with *Yeni Şafak* during his visit to Turkey for the Freedom for Palestine conference in Istanbul, discussed the differences between Judaism and Zionism and condemned the current Zionist genocide in Gaza.
In the interview, on January 10, 2024 Rabbi Weiss highlighted the distinction between Judaism and Zionism and confronted the accusations of anti-Semitism often directed at prominent individuals who stand up for Palestine. He emphasized, “We’ve always lived together in peace, the Jews and Muslims. The problem we are confronting today is called Zionism and occupation.” Rabbi Weiss noted that the first day of peace will be the first day of the end of occupation.
