On July 22, 2025, thousands of people gathered in New York City’s Union Square as part of an international day of action demanding an end to the ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza. The protest brought together people of all backgrounds, including a significant presence of anti-Zionist Jewish voices, united in solidarity with Palestinians facing a deepening humanitarian catastrophe.

From Union Square, demonstrators marched through the city, carrying signs and chanting for an immediate end to the siege and mass starvation in Gaza. With famine conditions worsening, the protest aimed to raise awareness about the unprecedented levels of hunger, malnutrition, and preventable deaths being reported daily across the Gaza Strip.

“Jews are feeling the suffering, crying and hurting with the starving people in Gaza,” said Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss while marching alongside others in NYC.

The demonstration in New York was one of many held around the world, demanding action, accountability, and the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged region.

Rabbi Weiss explained that Jewish opposition to Zionism began from the very beginning of its creation and will continue to speak out against it. He emphasized that they will not remain silent and will stand in solidarity with the suffering of the Palestinian people, and with Gaza.
