Visiting the Neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah

On May 24, 2021, a delegation of Jews courageously visited the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing eviction threats by settlers. These settlers aim to seize Palestinian homes, forcibly displacing families from their ancestral lands. The delegation vehemently condemned these provocative actions by the settler movement and denounced the ongoing criminal Zionist occupation.

Despite their peaceful intentions, the delegation encountered intimidation from a group of local settlers who gathered outside the meeting. Notably, among them was a notorious settler whose video went viral. When confronted by a Palestinian mother about stealing her home, he callously retorted, “If I don’t steal it, someone else will.”

It’s important to highlight that the delegation had attempted to visit multiple times in the past three weeks, only to be thwarted by the oppressive tactics of the Zionist regime. Their perseverance underscores the urgency of the situation in Sheikh Jarrah and the need for international attention and solidarity in addressing the injustices faced by Palestinians.
