Mass Protests in Dallas Against the Jewish National Fund Annual Conference

The Jewish National Fund [JNF] held its annual conference from November 14 to 16, 2024, at the Hilton Anatole in downtown Dallas, Texas. The three-day event proceeded despite months of efforts by human rights activists and pro-Palestinian groups across the United States to cancel it. The conference, which supports the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and directly funds the genocide in Gaza through backing of the Zionist IDF, drew widespread protests.

Thousands of demonstrators gathered over several days, starting with a loud protest on Thursday evening, November 14, 2024. Protesters confronted attendees of this shameful organization. Rabbi Dovid Feldman, part of a delegation of Jewish rabbis opposing the event, gave an interview highlighting the importance of standing up against such actions and raising awareness about their consequences.

On Friday morning, activists organized a “Chalk the Block” event outside the hotel where the conference was held. Rabbi Dovid Feldman spoke about the importance of this peaceful protest and emphasized the harmful role of the Jewish National Fund in supporting Zionist activities.

Saturday, November 16, saw thousands of protesters take to the streets throughout the day in an action called “Shut Down JNF.” The demonstrations effectively paralyzed the neighborhood. In the evening, marchers gathered at the hotel’s front entrance. Rabbi Dovid Feldman was invited to speak but, due to the Sabbath, which forbids the use of microphones for Jews, he used his voice along with the “people’s mic” to address the crowd.

Rabbi Feldman emphasized the importance of understanding that masses of Jews worldwide oppose everything Zionism stands for and are committed to spreading awareness about its harms. The protest sent a strong message of resistance against the activities of the Jewish National Fund.
