Anti-Zionist Jews Protest at the 2024 G20 Summit in Brazil
The 2024 G20 Summit took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from November 18–19, where world leaders gathered to discuss global wellness and fairness. During the summit, pro-Palestinian groups organized protests to condemn the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza and called for an arms embargo to halt the supply of weapons fueling mass atrocities in Gaza and Lebanon.
Anti-Zionist Jews joined the rallies, traveling to Brazil to denounce Zionism’s crimes against the Palestinian and Lebanese people. Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss spoke at the protest on Monday, November 18, 2024, addressing the pain felt by Jews worldwide over the unimaginable genocide in Gaza.
Rabbi Weiss addressed the G20 leaders, saying:
“We are here to declare to the leaders of the G20: you have been given a very wealthy, God-blessed position. Remember, it is from God. Do not abuse your position. Do not be intimidated by the criminal entity—the Zionist State of Israel.”
The rabbi also emphasized that Zionists should not speak or act in the name of the Jewish people or the Jewish religion. His speech was translated into Spanish, the local language in Brazil, reaching the masses attending the protest.
Following the speech, a social media post went viral showing Rabbi Weiss leading chants of “Judaism Yes, Zionism No! The State of Israel Must Go!”
