On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, a powerful demonstration took place at Wall Street as hundreds gathered to condemn Israel’s resumption of The Genocide in Gaza. The protest was sparked by Israel’s decision to shatter its ceasefire with Hamas, launching a deadly wave of airstrikes overnight on Tuesday. These attacks claimed the lives of over 400 Palestinians and left hundreds more injured, according to health officials in Gaza.

At 3:30 in the afternoon, protesters convened for a rally organized by the group Within Our Lifetime and supported by numerous other organizations. The demonstration sought to denounce the renewal of genocide in Gaza. Among those present were anti-Zionist Jews who joined the protest to express solidarity with the Palestinian people during this harrowing time.

Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss delivered a powerful speech, calling on world leaders to awaken to the moral crisis unfolding in Gaza. He urged them not to lose their souls and to stop these crimes in Gaza.

In his address, Rabbi Weiss also addressed the widespread misunderstanding of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism. He clarified that opposing Zionism does not equate to harboring hatred toward Jews, challenging the narrative often used to silence criticism of Israeli policies. He further identified Zionism as the true purveyor of anti-Semitism..

The protest also highlighted the recent arrest of Mohammed Khalil,  a vocal advocate for justice in Gaza. Rabbi Weiss condemned the arrest, arguing that instead of being detained, Khalil should be recognized and commended for his efforts to expose the injustices faced by the Palestinian people.

After the speeches, the crowd marched for hours, calling on bystanders to stand up against Zionism. In City Hall Park, the crowd urged city leaders to oppose the ongoing Zionist intimidation targeting pro-Palestinian supporters.
