A strong protest was held on August 12, 2025, at The New York Times headquarters following the cold-blooded murder of Anas Al-Sharif, a Palestinian journalist working for Al Jazeera. He was assassinated on August 10, 2025, in an Israeli airstrike on a media tent outside Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. The strike also killed four of his colleagues.
Speaking at the protest, Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss condemned the killing of six Al Jazeera journalists in what he described as a brutal attack by Zionist forces. Rabbi Weiss emphasized that they were targeted because they were reporting the truth. He further noted that mainstream media continues to misrepresent the situation as a religious conflict, while in reality, Zionism has nothing to do with Judaism.
After a series of speeches and rallying, the masses marched into the heart of New York City. During the march, Rabbi Dovid Feldman also addressed the crowd, strongly condemning these actions.
