Emergency Rally in NYC Against Israel’s Plans to Occupy Gaza

An emergency rally was held in New York City on Friday, August 8, 2025, after Israel announced plans to fully occupy the remaining areas of the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City, where more than 800,000 Palestinians remain displaced.

The world at large expressed outrage at this new escalation, coming after almost two years of genocide in Gaza. Israel’s latest move brought widespread condemnation from across the globe.

In response, thousands gathered at Columbus Circle in NYC, answering the call of the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM). The rally was followed by a march through the streets of Manhattan, as people of conscience demanded justice and raised their voices against Israel’s dangerous plans that will only deepen the humanitarian crisis.

During the march, Rabbi Dovid Feldman delivered a powerful speech, demanding an immediate end to Israel’s occupation and crimes. He made it clear that Zionism does not have the right to speak in the name of Jews or Judaism.

Anti-Zionist Jews stood in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza, joining others in condemning Zionism and Israel’s attempt to fully occupy the Gaza Strip.
