Pro-Palestinian Protest a Pro-Israel Rally in Downtown Place du Canada
On Thursday, May 14, 2024, while Zionists attended a pro-Israel rally downtown at Place du Canada, hundreds of pro-Palestinians gathered to protest the celebration in the midst of an ongoing genocide in Gaza and called for a ceasefire.
A delegation from the Jewish community attended the protest.
“We are here saddened to see these pro-Israel supporters celebrating 76 years of Israel’s Independence Day – 76 years of blatant rebellion against God, blatant rebellion against everything that Judaism stands for: murder, theft, and oppression of a whole people,” said Rabbi Dovid Feldman.
