Flood NYC for Gaza – Global Day of Rage Protest at the UN

On Saturday, August 9, 2025, a powerful protest called “Flood NYC for Gaza” took place across from the United Nations Headquarters in New York City as part of the “Global Day of Rage.”

This came during a devastating week in which the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that over 12,000 children in Gaza are facing acute malnutrition—the highest number ever recorded.

People of conscience gathered in a mass protest organized by Within Our Lifetime (WOL), one of the leading pro-Palestine movements in NYC. The demonstration drew thousands who came together to demand justice and to raise awareness of the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

Anti-Zionist Jews also joined the protest, walking out on Saturday during the Jewish Shabbat to show solidarity with the suffering people of Gaza.

The rally began with speeches and chants, then continued for hours with a march through the streets of New York City, filling the city with calls for freedom and justice for Palestine.
