A delegation of anti-Zionist Jews visited the Victoria Square encampment for Gaza on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. The encampment appeared on June 22. Protesters wanted Quebec’s public pension fund manager, the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ), to divest from 87 companies with ties to Israel.
The Jewish rabbis expressed their pain regarding the situation in Gaza and made it clear that these actions in no way represent the Jewish religion. On the contrary, they emphasized that this is against Jewish teachings.
